Artist, Heather Drury

I’m glad you are here. My little screen printing studio in Vermont enjoys virtual visitors. It can get quiet here at times, dead end dirt roads can be like that...

I’m Heather Drury. My ‘story’ starts back as long as I can remember. I thrived on all the art around me and was always happiest creating. Later with a BFA in graphic design and photography, pursued a career as a graphic designer. Almost 20 years later, I started to miss creating art in a tactile way. A screen printing intensive lured me away from my computer. I fell in love with the whole process and went crazy over the deep colors. It was clear that this would be a perfect transition for me while utilizing my background. I ooh and ahhh each time I hand print an item—I love the richness and intensity of it all. Although I mostly find myself wearing black and grey, I love and am inspired by color and brightness. It lights me up, which you will find coming through the layers and depth in my art.

When I’m not creating, I’m busy with my lovely family (My husband Seth, our 2 kids, dog and cats). Solo or with whoever will join me, I’m very happy: kayaking, skiing, devouring cookbooks (kimchi, tofu scram, kombucha, anyone?), practicing yoga, reading (bonus if with a cat), hiking or scouring farmers markets. Living in northern Vermont is an amazing back drop, I’m constantly taking pause and appreciating its beauty. Ok, to be fair, March and April are not my favorite...
